Meet Dr. Szagesh
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, and tell you a little bit about me and why I do what I do. First I am a proud life-long resident of Michigan, born and raised in the tri-city area. I am married to the love of my life, Tracey, and together we have made Grand Rapids our home. We have three children, Charles 20, Tiahna 12 and Adina is 4. We enjoy the great outdoors, and I have to say that nothing can compare to fall time in Michigan. My wife and I also enjoy many types of music, especially jazz. Boney James, Peter White, Avenue Blue and Jessie Cook, just to name a few.
I graduated high school in May of 1988, went on to Michigan State University and in June of 1992 I received a Bachelors Degree in Arts. In 1993 is when I met a Chiropractor who changed my life and soon I was leaving for Life University in Marietta, Georgia. I graduated in 1997 as a Doctor of Chiropractic. I have been licensed with the state of Michigan since December 1997 and with the state of Illinois since February 1998.
After graduating in 1997 I went to work as an Associate Doctor for Rodnick Chiropractic Center in Midland, MI. During the next four years, I saw an upwards of 60,000 visits, with all of this experience under my belt, I felt confident it was time to open my own clinic. That’s when Tracey and I decided to move to Grand Rapids with the objective to open a clinic like no other. Our goal is to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere that promotes health and well-being.
I have been a member of the Michigan Association for Chiropractors (formerly the Michigan Chiropractic Council) since 1994. I held the position of District President for 3 years. I have also been a member of the International Chiropractic Association for over 14 years. What does all of this mean to you? Well by being a major part of these organizations, I am on the leading edge of all that happens in our health care system.
I have been honored with six awards from the Michigan Association for Chiropractors for “Extraordinary Service” and in 2004 I was given the “President’s Award”. These awards mean a lot to me because it lets me know that I am doing what I should as a doctor, and educator in the field of Chiropractic. It also lets me know that I am giving my patients the best service possible.
Now that I have let you know a little more about myself and background as a Doctor of Chiropractic, I hope that you will take the opportunity to come in and let me get to know a little bit about you and your family, as well as your healthcare needs. You will feel like family!
Yours in Health,
Dr. Alan J. Szagesh, D.C.
